CalculatorFunction.com respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is processed when you browse the website or use its calculators, and the choices available to you.
Calculator inputs and local storage
Calculations run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. We do not require you to create an account or submit financial details to use a calculator, and your calculator inputs are never transmitted to our servers — there is no server-side component that could receive them. If you use the Save button on a calculator, choose a display currency, switch to dark mode, or mark a tool as a favourite, that specific choice is written to your browser's local storage under a name prefixed fch- (for example, saved inputs for the EMI calculator are stored under a key scoped to that calculator alone). Each setting stays only until you clear it, and clearing it does not affect any other setting.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider may process standard technical information required to deliver the website, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, date and time, and diagnostic logs. This information is used for security, reliability, and understanding general site performance.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the website — for example which calculators are most used and which pages need improvement. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. IP anonymisation is enabled. We use this only in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual visitors. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
This website displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see a given advertisement, and to detect invalid activity.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. How information is used
We use technical and analytics information to operate, protect, improve, and measure the website, and advertising to keep the calculators free to use. We do not sell calculator inputs or browser preferences, and we do not build personal financial profiles.
How long information is kept
Because calculator inputs never reach a server, we hold none of them ourselves — they exist only in your browser, for as long as you leave them there. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to the retention window configured in our Google Analytics account, which Google's own documentation describes; it is not held indefinitely. We do not maintain a separate database of visitor records.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, privacy law — such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area or state-level privacy laws in the United States — may give you rights over personal data, including the right to know what is held about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to certain processing. Because this website does not collect personal data directly (see above), most such requests will concern the aggregate analytics or advertising data processed by Google on our behalf; the opt-out links in this policy are the most direct way to exercise control over that. You can also contact us directly using the address below and we will assist within the limits of what we actually hold.
International data transfers
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are operated by Google and may process data on servers located outside your own country. Google maintains its own safeguards for these transfers, described in the Google policies linked throughout this page. We do not separately transfer calculator inputs anywhere, since none are collected.
Do Not Track signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no single agreed technical standard for how a website should respond to it, and this website does not currently change its behaviour based on that signal. The opt-out mechanisms described above under Analytics and Advertising are the reliable way to limit tracking on this site regardless of your Do Not Track setting.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Because calculator inputs are processed only in your browser and never transmitted to us, there is no server-side database of financial figures that could be exposed in a breach — the strongest protection here is architectural rather than a promise we have to keep operationally.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, use the opt-out links above, or browse with an ad blocker. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from using any calculator on this website. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or erase personal data held about you; requests can be sent to the contact address below.
