WHERE MOST PEOPLE START
Four questions these tools answer most often
If you are not sure which calculator you need, start with whichever of these is closest to what you are asking.
“Can I afford this loan?”
The instalment is the number a lender leads with, and it is the least useful one. What decides affordability is the total interest across the full term, and whether the payment would still be comfortable if rates rose two points. Work out both before you apply, not after.
Calculate an EMI →“How much will my savings grow?”
Compounding is consistently underestimated because intuition is linear and compounding is not. The gap between saving from age twenty-five and from age thirty-five is far larger than ten years of contributions would suggest. Time in the market does more work than the amount you start with.
Project a monthly SIP →“What will I actually take home?”
Cost to company, gross pay and take-home are three different numbers, and job offers are usually quoted as the largest one. Moving into a higher tax slab does not tax all your income at that rate either — only the portion above the threshold.
Estimate take-home pay →“Will I have enough to retire?”
Retirement is the one calculation that runs backwards: start from the annual income you will need, then work out the fund required to sustain it. The mistake that ruins most plans is arithmetic rather than discipline — planning in today’s money and forgetting what inflation does across thirty years.

Frequently asked questions
Are these calculators free to use?
Yes. All tools on CalculatorFunction.com are free and work without creating an account.
Are my financial details stored?
Your current calculation is handled in your browser. Saved inputs and history use local browser storage only, and can be cleared whenever you like.
Can a calculator replace financial advice?
No. Results are estimates based on your inputs. For a major investment, tax or borrowing decision, check current terms and consider qualified professional advice.
Why might the bank’s result be different?
Lenders may use daily balances, fees, insurance, rounding or product-specific rules. Treat an online estimate as a useful starting point.
Which currency do the calculators use?
The display currency is chosen automatically on your first visit, based on your device’s own region settings — no location lookup is involved. You can change it from the selector in the header at any time, and your choice is remembered on that device afterwards.
Do I need an account, or an app?
Neither. Every calculator runs in the browser you are reading this in, on phones, tablets and desktops alike. Nothing is submitted anywhere, and there is nothing to install or sign up for.
How often are the calculators reviewed?
The formulas behind them are standard and stable. What does change is context — tax slabs, statutory limits and scheme interest rates are revised periodically by the relevant authorities. For that reason the tax and government-scheme calculators are deliberately written to explain the mechanism rather than assert a current rate, and you should confirm figures against an official source before acting on them.
